OUR STORY
Founded by Bridport local Steve Toms in 2019, Brydian Arboriculture began with a simple but powerful idea: to offer high-quality tree and garden services built on honesty, skill, and community spirit. With a background in arboriculture and a love for the outdoors, Steve saw an opportunity to create a business that not only delivered expert care but also fostered strong relationships with the people and places it served. What started as a one-man operation has grown steadily through word of mouth, repeat customers, and a reputation for reliable, respectful, and thoughtful service.
The name Brydian is a nod to Bridport’s Saxon heritage—once called "Brydian" during King Alfred’s reign—and reflects the company’s deep local roots and pride in Dorset’s natural landscape. From working on family gardens to managing large estates and public green spaces, Brydian has become known not just for the quality of its work, but for its down-to-earth approach and commitment to doing things the right way.
